Kate has had dogs around her since she was young. At the age of 21, she enlisted in the US Army and after two tours overseas, she wanted a career that would challenge her in a way her time in the service did. Her love of animals led her to a career as a Veterinary Technician.
Kate was born and raised right here in Minnesota, but has lived in several places around the country. She graduated from the Minnesota School of Business in 2016 with her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. She came to work for Golden Valley and Greenbrier Animal Hospitals while she was attending school in 2015, but spent the last two years in Colorado where she was a part of the Army Reserves as a Vet Tech. While she continues to serve in Colorado, she missed her home state and rejoined our staff in the spring of 2019.
Helping animals feel safe and unafraid is something Kate loves most about being a Veterinary Technician. The complexity of the job and never quite knowing what each day will bring is something that keeps her loving the Veterinary field.
Kate currently lives in Robbinsdale with her three dogs, Shelby Mae the Yorkie mix, Forrest the Dachshund mix and Boris the American Staffordshire Terrier. Her cats, Chuck and Larry, put up with the dogs when Kate is at the gym, kayaking, camping or enjoying one of the State Parks!
