Dr. Ashley Zisko began her college career as a pre-med major studying human medicine and science. It wasn’t long, though, before she realized that something was missing. She had been involved with rescue organizations as well as spay-and-neuter assistance programs for many years—it was there that Dr. Zisko’s passion lay! She decided to combine her passion for medicine and her love of animals by becoming a veterinarian, and hasn’t looked back since.
Dr. Zisko grew up in East Lansing, Michigan. She attended the University of Notre Dame for her undergraduate studies, majoring in pre-med and classical studies, before earning her veterinary credentials at the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Zisko has now lived in Minneapolis for over 10 years, and was thrilled to accept a job helping the community she loves so much—she’s one of Golden Valley Animal Hospital’s Associate Veterinarians!
Dr. Zisko, her husband, Patrick and their children share her life with a rescue dog from Mexico, Daisy. In her time away from work, she enjoys spending time on the water, renovating her home, tending her garden, and traveling the world with her husband.
